Snoring is noisy breathing during sleep Snoring during sleep happens due to many reason
- Blocked nasal airways - due to allergic cold or sinus infection: problems in nose such as deviated septum Or nasal polyps Can Block airways.
- poor muscle tone in your throat and tongue. During deep sleep when muscles get too relaxed, that allows them to collapse into your airway.
- Bulky throat tissue.
Over weight or obese can cause this. Some children have large tonsils and adenoids that make them snore

Snoring Complications
Snoring doesn't seem to have complications, but Obstructive sleep apnea can cause problems like. frequent waking up from sleep,light sleeping, strain your heart, long term may lead to increased Blood pressure, with higher risk of heart attack and stroke.


Anti - Snoring Devices
These are work at night and are design to keep the alway open. They come in 2 types:
- Mandibular advancement devices - push the lower jaw & tongue forward , keeping them propped away from the airway.
